LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts
Bachelor of Arts (BA), Acting 2013-2016 In LASALLE, Sangeetha continues her acting and theater training previously obtained at the Buds Youth Theater Company. An avid musician, she has had the opportunity to serve as a composer for shows, writing original material and melodies. The combined vocal and physical training has allowed her increased proficiency in accent work, vocal delivery, singing, and physical movement. She was awarded the Lee Foundation Grant and Tan Chay Bing Scholarship to pursue her studies in LASALLE, and she desires to give back by returning as teacher after the completion of her degree program. |
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
Diploma, Performing Arts Management 2011-2013 Sangeetha's training at NAFA spanned the management of performing and visual artistes. She also undertook leadership positions as the class head and Chairman of the Student Leaders Group. A documentary enthusiast, she also served as copywriter and narrator for the NAFA Inter-disciplinary Project which took students to Phnom Penn, Cambodia. Graduating with a Diploma with High Distinction, she also received the SINDA Excellence Award as well as the Best Graduate Award for class of 2013 |
Junior College
GCE A Level, Literature, Geography, Economics & Drama 2009-2010 Sangeetha began her foray into stage acting in college, where she participated in the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging Competition, playing Lear in an adaptation of King Lear. She also took on the winning role as Miss Havisham of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations at the college's Annual Drama Festival, where she won the Best Actress award. Her interest in social causes and politics also led her to serve as a student leader and a Junior REACH ambassador, which aims to reach out to the populace and encourage active citizenry in the community. |
Commonwealth Secondary School
GCE O Level, Combined Humanities, Sciences and Arithmetic 2004-2008 Sangeetha began to hone her vocal talents in High School. A passionate singer and vocal artist, she trained under the Commonwealth Choir, obtaining Gold at the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging Competition. She also hosted numerous events and shows, and served as a DJ and copywriter for Spod, the Student Podcast initiative unique to the high school. |
